2013 I have been selected from the U.S. embassy to be one of the two representatives of
Thailand to participate the International Visitor (IV) program: Small Business
Development and Entrepreneurship, November 30 - December 21, 2013.


2013-Present I have been appointed as the Director of Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation
for SME Development in ASEAN Region (CEISDA), Faculty of Business
Administration, Khon Kaen University, Nong Khai Campus.


2013 I have been invited to be a reviewer for NIDA Economic Review, National
Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok.


2013 I have been invited to give a special lecture entitled “creative rural enterprise” for
Master of Executive Economic Program at National Institute of Development
Administration (NIDA), Bangkok.


2013 The paper of Teerawat Charoenrat, Charles Harvie and Wannapa Naburana,
entitled “Measuring the Technical Efficiency of Thai Manufacturing SMEs: A
Comparison of Parametric and Non-parametric Approaches”, has been accepted for
presentation at the Cambridge Business & Economics Conference to be held in
University of Cambridge, UK, July 2 & July 3, 2013.


2013 I have been invited to be a reviewer for International Research Journal "Problems

(LJEM) and the Journal of Management Policy and Practice (JMPP.)


2013 The research proposal of Teerawat Charoenrat, Charles Harvie, Grid
Rangsungnoen and Yot Amornkitvikai, entitled “Technical Efficiency Performance
of Thai Manufacturing Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises: Contributory Factors
and Policy Implications”, has been selected to be 1 of 20 research proposals
among 140 proposals all over Asia for the grant award of the Enterprise
Performance in Asia Project. This project is co-organised by Asian Institute of
5Management (AIM), Manila, Philippines, Asian Institute of Management Policy
Center (APC) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).


2012 I have been invited to be a reviewer for International Research Journal "Problems
and Perspectives in Management, Lao Journal of Economics and Management
(LJEM) and the Journal of Management Policy and Practice (JMPP.)


2012 I have been invited to be one of the reviewers and academic committees of the 9th
SMEs in a Global Economy Conference 2012: "Rising to the Global Challenge:
Entrepreneurship and SME Development in Asia", 9-11 November 2A12, National
University of Laos, Vientiane, Laos.


2011 I have been in a finalist of the UOW Three Minute Thesis Competition 2011,
which I was being a student representative for the Faculty of Commerce.


2011 I have been appointed as a HDR student representative committee for the Faculty

Finance Journal and African Journal of Agricultural Research.


2011 The Centre for Small Business and Regional Research has been awarded a UIC
Internationalisation Grant for collaborative research activities with Khon Kaen
University, Nong Khai Campus, Thailand. I, Teerawat Charoenrat, come from
KKU-NKC and will return there upon finishing my doctorate. I will be working on
the Centre’s joint research project, assisting to develop the joint teaching program
and playing a significant role in helping to establish the Centre for Asian SME
Research located at KKU-NKC.


2011 I, Teerawat Charoenrat, have organised the the 8th SMEs in a Global Economy
Conference 2011: "Rising to the Global Challenge: Entrepreneurship and SME
development in Asia", 9-11 November 2011, Nong Khai campus, Khon Kaen
University, Thailand. In addition, Charles Harvie and I, Teerawat Charoenrat, were
also the main conference organising committees of this conference.


2010 I have created international relations via the Centre for Small Business and
Regional Research. Charles Harvie, CSBRR Director and I, Teerawat, have
conducted a collaborative research project with Khon Kaen University, Nong Khai
Campus. Entitled "Technical efficiency of Thai manufacturing SMEs: a
comparative study of north-eastern provinces".
2009 I, Teerawat Charoenrat, have presented a thesis proposal poster at the SInet social
innovation network conference at the North beach Novotel, Wollongong during 28th
and 29th September, 2009.
